Working at Sabadello Legal

Summer is slowly coming to an end and we already had to say goodbye to our summer associate from Finland, Sami. We wish Sami all the best for the last stretch of his law studies and his certainly bright future. We asked Sami how it was to work at our Vienna Office, so here is his report:

In July 2022 I worked as a summer associate at Sabadello Legal through European Law Students Association’s trainee program, for which I am grateful to both Sabadello Legal and ELSA. Welcoming atmosphere, interesting assignments, and top tier coworkers at Sabadello Legal made my traineeship an unforgettable experience. Among other tasks I helped lawyers with anti-money laundering and terrorism financing regulations and product liability issues. It is, in my opinion, essential and helpful to gain international experience early on in a legal career in understanding the distinctions between different legal systems and work cultures, as well as to build networks.

Besides working at the office, I had time to explore beautiful Austria, from the tourist attractions in Vienna to the top of the Schneeberg (“snow mountain”) with its summit in 2,076 meters. The hike up there still hasn't been forgotten by my legs. Almost as exhausting was to play tennis with my teammate during the historical heatwave.
