Expertise and work focus

Attorney-at-law Erwin Fuchs is based in Vienna. He advises and represents companies in labour law and data protection law matters and related issues. For nearly twenty years, he has been providing advice to companies from all sectors, with a focus on HR services, trade, industry, IT, commerce and culture. Mr. Fuchs advises his clients both on labour law aspects of the formation and takeover of companies in Austria and on the enforcement and defence of claims based on labour law issues. Among others, he is highly experienced in providing support during business transfers as well as in establishing and creating internal labour law processes and documents (in particular in the sphere of developing and amending working time models and internal agreements).

In the course of his career, Erwin Fuchs has represented many clients in hundreds of civil proceedings in the field of labour law. Above all, he also advises globally active companies and corporate groups on all transnational labour law issues.

On a regular basis, attorney-at-law Fuchs holds presentations and conducts trainings on (international) labour law and data protection law, and he is also known as an editor and specialist author in this field.

Career

After graduating from the law school of the University of Vienna, Erwin Fuchs completed his court internship in the district of the Higher Regional Court of Vienna. During his practical training, he also worked for a boutique law firm with a focus on labour law. He passed the bar examination with very good results and joined Baker McKenzie, one of the major law firms worldwide. Having worked in the field of labour and employment law for several years, with a sidestep into the legal department of one of the world’s largest HR service providers, he set up his own law firm in Vienna (again) in 2016. In 2021, after years of excellent collaboration with Sabadello Legal, he decided to take the next step and become part of Sabadello Legal.

Other professional activities

• Holds lectures on labour law issues, with a focus on works councils, working time models and change management in labour law.
